On the Perception of Organized Crime in Europe
The present survey is part of an international academic study promoted by European institutions, whose objective is to analyze and compare the perception of organized crime in Europe by citizens and police forces.
The purpose is to understand how the threat is perceived, institutional effectiveness, trust in security and justice systems, and the impact of organized crime on everyday life. This information will be contrasted with real data from official sources such as Europol and Eurostat, allowing us to identify possible gaps between perception and reality.
In addition, we seek to explore how factors such as personal experience, media exposure, education or country of residence influence such perceptions. This will allow us to generate recommendations that contribute to improving security policies, international cooperation and institutional communication.
The survey is aimed at two profiles: citizens and public security professionals (police or civil servants), so some questions are adapted according to the role of the respondent.
Your participation is completely anonymous and voluntary, and the data will be treated with strict confidentiality in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We sincerely appreciate your time and cooperation.
